- 1 Coupling Exercises The coupling exercises in this lesson is a great place to start because you will get down an easy bassline that you'll find useful later, while also getting your right hand more dexterous.
- 2 Ben's Blues Part 4 My Ben's Blues lesson is fantastic if you want to learn improvisation. Focus a lot on lesson #4 and try to get down the bassline along with a flowing improvisation in the right hand. If you did the Jazz & Blues Made Easy lesson, this bassline should not be too difficult to learn.

- 3 8 Scales you MUST know for Improvisation These 8 scales you really need to know well. Practice each of these scales in the key of C for now. As you move to different songs, transpose the scale you need to the proper key. For example, learn the C altered scale, when you see another dominant 7th chord (G7 for example) then transpose that C altered scale to G.

- 4 Jazz and BeBop Exercises This lesson has a lot of great exercises to help your improvisation flow more.
- 5 Jazz Improvisation with Approaches Approaches or "enclosures" are an excellent method to outline your chord tones, create tension in your solo and create fills between chords.
- 6 Creating Improvisation Lines This third lesson brings together the ideas you learned in Jazz and Bebop Exercises and Jazz Improvisation with Approaches. In this lesson you'll start learning how to "weave" your improvisation over several chords.
